Pathological floaters

Furthermore there are pathological floaters. A retinal detachment can start with small hemorrhages in the vitreous humor. This can also be noticed with diabetes patients. Floaters also are frequently seen with patients with autoimmune disorders like sarcoidosis, ankylosing spondylitis, and others. It is essential to exclude these possibilities before a laser vitreolysis.
